Madrid, February 23, 2021. Today, the startup ecosystem is an essential focus of job creation. And while young entrepreneurs drive many jobs, the professional profiles these positions demand are increasingly more experienced. Finding and retaining highly qualified talent, especially in more technological areas, has become a challenge that startups try to achieve through attractive work conditions and a motivating proposal on both a personal and professional level. Such is the case with Lingokids, which currently has 21 positions open for engineers, data scientists, developers, and other senior professional profiles.

The company, which specializes in English learning for young children, tripled its international growth in 2020 and now has more than 25 million families around the world using its app. Launched in 2016, Lingokids is now considered one of the benchmark startups in Spain (last year, LinkedIn selected it for its Top10 most promising startups). Its growth is largely due to its firm commitment to talent and diversity as a fundamental factor for innovation and development.

“Diversity, in all the breadth of the word, is the best stimulus for innovation. That’s why at Lingokids we seek talent regardless of gender, age, origin, or background, and we strive to create an inspiring work environment that allows each person to unleash their ingenuity and creativity. In addition, to attract the best, we offer an attractive salary and social benefits, such as medical insurance for flexible remuneration, free language classes, and subsidized training, among other advantages,” explains Leticia Castro, Head of People & Culture at Lingokids.

To reinforce its employee-centered policy, the company has always offered the possibility to work remotely, so that geographical location is not a determining factor. “The candidates, like any of our employees, can live anywhere in Spain and even in Europe, as long as they demonstrate a high level of efficiency, leadership, and autonomy. Additionally, they must share our values and, of course, meet all the requirements for the position,” says Leticia Castro.

Lingokids’ forecast is to hire up to 30 new professionals in 2021. The current jobs offered align primarily with senior engineering profiles: Senior Backend Engineer, Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native), Senior Full Stack Engineer. There are also a few positions open in data, including Data Analyst, Marketing Data Scientist, and Data Engineer. Additionally, there are several openings in marketing, content, and human resources.

The Lingokids team is currently made up of about one hundred people of twenty different nationalities, with an average age of 33-34 years old.
