Numbers printable activities

Check out these printable activities to practice the numbers from 1 to 10 and from 10 to 20 in English!

Printable activities are a great way for children to put their creativity intro practice. They help the little ones learn different topics in a natural way while using a more practical approach. For topics such as the numbers for kids, which usually require memorization and writing skills, written exercises allow children to grasp the concept of numbers as they take the first steps to learn how to write them and how to read them. In these numbers printable activities, you’ll find two worksheets that will help your little one learn the numbers in English.

The first printable focuses on the numbers from 1 to 10, and it is perfect for the youngest of the family, and also for kids that just have started learning English as second language. In it, your little one will find a coloring sheet for kids with the numbers, and each one has its name written below. This is a good chance to encourage your child to read the name of the numbers in English while he or she practices writing them. Next, you will find several useful phrases related to this topic, which are perfect to continue learning after your child has finished painting. Also, in these worksheets you’ll find several extra activities to do with your child as a family, like games and also songs in English. These will help you reinforce the lesson through repetition, but done in an joyful way!

The second printable, More Numbers, focuses on the numbers from 11 to 20. It is perfect to continue learning about this topic, especially once your little one has mastered the first ten numbers. In these worksheets, all the numbers are presented in a very creative way. Each one is drawn with different shapes and patterns that will encourage your child to be creative, and will make the lesson much more entertaining to learn. Since each number has the name in English written below, you can practice reading each of them aloud. Ask your little one to trace the words for each number after he or she has finished coloring them. As an extra practice, you can ask your little one to identify the shapes and objects that appear on the numbers. For example, “What do you see on number nineteen?” It has a palm tree in number one, and number nine is a dinosaur! Take advantage of this, and practice some extra vocabulary in English with your little one.

Given that numbers are associated with mathematics, they could be a difficult lesson for some kids to learn. But still, it is one of the most important topics for children in primary school, and even for toddlers, since knowing the numbers lay the foundations for a successful learning process and a natural interest towards math. That’s why it’s so important to make it as entertaining as possible through printables and interesting activities, especially for the youngest ones.

Now, let’s start learning and practicing the numbers!
