Fairy Song

In this song for children, they will find a magical story about responsibility, that will also be ideal to practice subtraction and addition in a natural way!

Fairy Song Lyrics

Five little fairies playing by the pond,
One fell in and lost her wand.
Mama called the wizard who did respond,
“No more fairies playing by the pond!”

Four little fairies playing by the pond,
One fell in and lost her wand.
Mama called the wizard who did respond,
“No more fairies playing by the pond!”

Three little fairies playing by the pond,
One fell in and lost her wand.
Mama called the wizard who did respond,
“No more fairies playing by the pond!”

Two little fairies playing by the pond,
One fell in and lost her wand.
Mama called the wizard who did respond,
“No more fairies playing by the pond!”

One little fairy playing by the pond,
She fell in and lost her wand.
Mama called the wizard who did respond,
“No more fairies playing by the pond!”

Five little fairies sitting by the pond,
Now they have a special bond,
The wizard’s lesson finally dawned,
How NOT to lose their magic wands!

? About the Song

Music is all about rhythm, dance, and fun. This turns it into the perfect aid for introducing babies and toddlers new concepts that will be essential for their future education. In the “Fairy Song,” the little ones will find a lovely and magical story that will help them learn an important lesson about responsibility, as they also get to practice the basic foundations of subtraction and addition, but all in a natural way!

Baby nursery rhymes are the favorite of many children: they are soothing, they’re cheerful, and they are great for lifting their spirits, and this song for children is a great example of that. The story in the song talks about five little fairies that can be found playing by a pond, near a castle.

Each fairy has their own magic wand. As they played near the water, the mother fairy was nearby making sure they were alright. Then, one of the fairies lost her wand which fell to the pond. Mother fairy was eager to ask the wizard of the castle for a little help, however, his response was that no fairies should be playing by the pond. However, the rest of the fairies continued playing, until one more lost her wand.

After this, the wizard repeated the same advice: not to play by the pond. But the three remaining little fairies didn’t listen, and as they kept on playing the wands kept falling into the water until there were two fairies playing, then one, then none!

By the end of this song for children, all the fairies had lost their wands! Mother fairy talked once more with the wizard, who responded again that no fairies should be playing by the pond. Finally, the fairies learned the lesson, and since playing by the pond was a bit dangerous, they decided to sit by it to admire it. Then, the wizard, seeing that they had learned this important lesson, found the wands and gave them back to the fairies, which made them really happy! This is a valuable lesson for children to learn about how listening to advice can be a great thing for them.

Additionally, using the lyrics of the nursery rhyme in English, your little one will also get to practice their reading, writing, and listening skills in English as they sing along the music. If your child is old enough, ask them to read and sing the words with you, using the song as a guide to make their English pronunciation better. After listening to the song a few times, you can also use the video as a visual learning aid. Practice naming the different objects and characters you can see in the video: wizard, fairy, pond, wand, castle, or log! This way you’ll also get to practice vocabulary in English.

As an extra activity, help your child count how many fairies are there at the beginning, and then, as the fairies lose their wands, help him or her count how many of them are left playing. This will help them review the numbers in English from 0 to 5, and also will be great practice to learn subtraction (how many fairies are left playing) and addition (how many fairies are now in the pond).

Now, let’s have a magical time singing this lovely children’s song in English!
